How to remove an Ignition lock on Cosa?

Hello,

My lock barrel is on its way out (getitng very loose) so I would like to change it. I already have spare barrels but when I tried to remove the lock body (art no 25453600), I couldn’t figure out how to :s The whole thing would move in and out but would not come out, is there a latch or something??? Does anyone have any info?

Thanks,

Emmanuel

Cool, no I hadn’t tried that, I tried moving the lock body from end to end but not the steering head. I will try this weekend again

Thanks,

Emmanuel

Have you tried turning the steering from lock to lock, as you pull on the metal piece?

Ahhh, thanks for the reply, My issue was that the metal locking piece would not come out, is there a trick?

Thanks,

Emmanuel

I'm trying to do the same, to replace the same item, even. Any more help available? Mine's an XL2, not sure if that makes any difference.

Ages since I did one, but!

If its like a p2/t5!? you take the horn cover off, and on the steering coloum thier is a grub screw holding in the plastic switch, this uncovers an actul locking piece of metal(falls out, I think!) behind this (with the key in the lock)a little tab holds the lock in place.

If its not like a p2/t5, Twat it! get a slide hammer (it pulls the lot out!breaking the tab) but... don't blame me if.........[:D]

Having the same problem know, anybody found the answer how to place a new lock body in so its stays in. Thanks
