What's going on with my PX200 98?

Hi there.

My Px 98 was jumping out of gear and stalling so I opened it up thinking it was the cruciform but it wasn’t! The selector rod that screws into the cruciform had somehow become threadless so the cruciform moved freely jumping in and out of gear. I then replaced the rod with a new one and a new cruciform. I also replaced the selector box. I rode it today for about 50kms and it purred! Went to ride it tonight but it stalled as soon as I put it into gear. It also makes loud metallic noises perhaps around the flywheel area. It is bog standard apart from a Hp4 flywheel and an SIP clutch thrust plate pushrod thingy. Does it sound like clutch problems or some other fault?

Look forward to hearing from someone!

Hi everyone. Solved it. The clutch was broken. I had to take the engine to bits and remove the crank to get it off. Got a new crank and clutch on the way as we speak.

Thanks

Replaced the clutch thrust pushrod with a standard one but still the same prob. Jacked it up, put it in first, tried to spin the wheel with the clutch in but it won’t spin freely. Clutch doesn’t seem to be engaging. Do you think I haven’t tightened the clutch nut enough? Don’t have another cosa clutch engine to compare but should the nut be almost flush with the end of the crank thread?

Thanks.
