what next???

hi

i am having a px200 from the year of 98 kitted with a pinasco 215cc kit,original crank,sme carb with a 125 main jet and a pinasco pipe.

i want to boost it up,what do u recomand? how is the polini 208 kit with the same setting without porting the cases?(too lazy to do it,too expensive letting the garage doing it for me...)

i am using my vespa as a daily vehicle and it is my only transportation so i still need it to be relayable.

so what do u recomand?

If your using it as a daily, best to leave it with pinasco. Few things you could do is match the carby inlet, take a few things apart and 'flow' the transfer ports (not too smooth otherwise fuel/air mix doesn't atomise correctly and builds up as drops on the side) and crankcase, also wipe all the carbon out of the exhaust port and 'flow' (try and get that as smooth as possible to prevent carbon from sticking there) that, try a different pipesuch as a JL pipe such as the RZ right hand one (keep spare tire).

Basically with a Polini or Malossi, to really get your money worth form them you need to match the cases.

What about a biger carb kit, 28 or 30mm?

Forget about a bigger carb.  The only extra ‚fun‘ it will give you is stopping for extra fuel.  It’s really not needed on the set up you have.  I have a Mallossi 172 and another bike with a Mallossi 220 set up with 60mm crank and both of them work perfectly well with a 24mm carb. If you are going to go the whole hog and reedvalve the engine then yes, big carb, but otherwise no.

not adviseable for a daily ride mate but if your planning to have fun going home…go for it!
