Has anyone fitted vespatronic or is there an alternative. Is it worth fitting this?

I don't find it is worthed the price for normal application. I say normal since you will gain something, but your engine will run warmer at low and mid range since the ignition curve in this range is more advanced then when you have it a fixed one. Of course at high rev it is better, but how long you stay on this high rev in normal city use? And then the power of your light at low rev will be very dim.

I would like to fit a new exhaust but everbody has different opinions on what to fit and its not cheap to find out what exhaust will suit. PM and Scorpions are popular here but I just don't know! any advice would be appreciated.I live in Scotland so the weather is never too hot.

The advice from Vespadoctor and yourself has been helpfull as always. As you know I fitted Pinasco exhaust and 180 kit with 24mm carb is there anything (sensible) else you would recommend that I should do next? The scooters fine but I want to be faster than my mates standard T5[:)]#

hello,
if you have standard gearing or 21/68 you should go either for a scorpion or for a taffspeed. PM is very good but for its curve I would use with Pinasco177 only in combination with long gearing.(I think you have a Pinasco 177...)
