Vespa ss 180 carb conversion

I'm wanting to convert my stock carb to a 24mm. So far, the bike has a p200 piston and vespatronic ignition and flywheel Anyone have experience with this? recommendations?

Thanks,Allen

OK. But this means you just have to overhaul the carb, as the float needle valve does not work properly and  needs some care.

In this case you don't need a complete new carb, a new float chamber will do.

It isn't so complicated.

Did you have any luck resolving this?

Thanks for the reply. Truthfully, I just want my bike to stop flooding. I have to rebuild very six months. It will run fine for awhile, then gas flood all over. Then I have to bump start it, get rid off the gas in the exhaust, and rebuild the carb again. Just trying to fix it for good. Even  if I have to buy a new carb. Any thoughts?

Just check the float valve is the new red tip type - the old black tips are prone to wear with modern fuels.

It makes no use to fit ab bigger carb (with bigger diameter) if you do not enlarge the crankcase inlet opening and in the carb box, according to the bigger carb diameter.
