I have a vespa pk 50 s with no brake light (italien import) and no battery, there also isnt enough power to power the speedo only when the rpm's rise. Would i need to fit a small battery or is there a soloution.

the no brake-light version of the pk has a really bad ingition regarding idling power.
The power is calculated to be just enough for the lights (that's the reason no regulator is needed.)
I would recommend to use a small battery only for the speedo, which then can be charged from time to time.
The other solution is to exchange the ignition, but then you need another cdi, change wires and a voltage regulator...
