Vespa GS 160 1964 and Vespatronic

Which Vespatronic fits my motor?

I wanted to convert my Vespa GS160 to 12v and improve the ignition at the same time, so I bought a Vespatronic 50004200. It does not fit, despite me telling order people that my motor is VSB 1T 0053911. It is quite irritating that it does not fit. Smallest part of my axel-cone is 16mm and the flywheel is 17mm.
I assume I have to pull off the cam shaft too when I get the right Vespatronic.
Who knows the best way to do that?

Unfortunately I have to answer my own question thru trial and error. Having a GS160 with Motor No VSB 1M 0054073 it is quite obvious that I need a 50004200 Vespatronic. No no, only for Germans, Swedes and some others, not the Italians. I measured the flywheel cone on the 50004200 and it is 17 / 24 x 37,5 mm and my old flywheel cone is 15,5 / 19 x 18,0 mm. Moritz at Sipscooter took a picture on both 50004200 and 5004100 flywheel hole and came to the conclusion that 5004100 could be the right one despite frame or motor number. Of course I had to send the one I first bought back and get this new 50004100 instead. It arrived and I started to measure the flywheel cone. 15 / 21 x 30,5mm will fit my axle except for the cone depth. The ignition cam ring has to be pulled off. After 48 years it got really stuck and I grinded it off instead of risking to damage the crank.
Could my old flywheel work properly with a cone depth of 18mm so could even 50004100 work with the same depth and avoiding removing the ignition cam ring. The Alfa Romeo engineers would have done that.

To defend the Italians you might say that my crank shaft have been exchanged. No Sir, previous (first) owner is a good friend of mine so I have 100% history information of my pearl.

Since I have been working with technical information and written loads of literature all my life (50 years), I’m quite keen on giving a customer accurate but simple information.
I therefore recommend Sipscooter to edit their information about these two Vespatronic articles with information about the cone size and removal of ignition ring. This mistake thrusting motor number did cost me 48 Euros to send back due to lack of correct information.

I also have to say that Sipscooter is a very good negotiator concerning freight cost. 5,25 Euros is perfect for us customers. To send back my Vespatronic with DHL would cost 121 Euros
