Vespa GL bad engine sound

Hi Vespa Friend.

 

I bought a GL, i restoration it, but the engine has a bad sound. I never ever hear working the engine. It has a new crankshaft, piston rod, new bearing, newest piston and ring. Another problem maybe related to, it has not idling. Any idea?

Hello nyunyi,

that could be some problems.

Please check out following things:

- right ignition timing

- was the piston mounted in the right position?

-do you use the right spark plug?
