Vespa 210 malossi gearbox problem

Hi all Im running a full tuned Taffspeed top end, re-enforced clutch senario engine. The problem I have is that I now have a broken third gear on the input shaft (christmas tree). This is the second time that this has happened. Im thinking of replacing it with a DRT one but at £153 it will be expensive if i dont fix the original issue.

Gaz have u checked play in the driveshaft bearings? or even the input shaft, if happened twice itll prob happen again. i wouldnt spend the money on drt replacement as could happen again, i seen this happen once before and was a bearing, it worth a check,
