Is there anything I can do to improve the handling of my 1969 rally 180? It’s soggy as all hell and dives all over the place.
Depends how much of a purist you are and how much money you’ve got.
If you get a cheap 2nd hand PK125ETS fork then this will take a Bitubo front gas shock and disk brake set up if required. The end result = vastly improved handling and braking.
Failing this, see if your local Motorcross shop can get custom wound springs made up. The beauty of custom springs is that they can have a certain amount of preload wound into them before they become more progressive ie’ reduce sloppiness. []
