T5 engine casings!1

I APPEAL FOR HELP!!!
I HAVE A 1992 T5 CLASSIC WHICH HAS BEEN KITTED(172),I HAVE ALSO FITTED A SIP PIPE.EVERYTHING OK SO FAR!

THE PROBLEM I HAVE IS WITH THE ENGINE CASING-CLUTCH SIDE.
IS THERE A INHERANT PROBLEM WITH THE CASTING AS A CRACK HAS APPEARED IN THE HOLE WHERE THE INPUT DRIVE SITS!!
THE CRACK RUNS THE WHOLE OF THE WIDTH AND HAS WELDED UP ONCE BEFORE.
BUT I WOULD TO KNOW WHETHER TO HAVE IT RE-WELDED OR BUY ANOTHER T5 LUMP???

HAS ANBODY EXPERIENCED SIMILAR PROBLEMS???

ANY IDEAS
PLEASE E-MAIL ME

THANKSSSSSSSSS[:drink:] [:drink:] [:drink:] [:drink:] [:smokin:] [:smokin:] [:smokin:]

Welding has to be the cheaper option, cases are well expensive.
