T5 and Px gearbox compatability

just wondering if anyone could tell me if a T5 input shaft and out put shaft with all gears would drop into my PX125?? I have been given these as my PX is savagly jumping out of gear. I don’t have a T5 clutch or hub… do I need these?

Why don’t you just change the gear selector (cruciform)? That’s usually what makes gears jump on a PX. Much easier and cheaper to fit than doing the whole gear shaft.

Havn’t done the conversion myself: but I think you should be OK with the hub.

If you have an early (pre '86) P engine you will also need the later selector box.

Another thought about your clutch problem: if you didn’t get the basket re-inforced its very likely that it expanded due to the higher rpms causing the problems with disengaging (check this coz you do not want an exploding clutch @ 70mph!). The cure is a new basket: get the reinforced one. You can upgrade to a cosa clutch…better still (4 plates 8 springs) but needing the reinforcing band all the same. You might have to grind the case/cover a little bit to get it to fit. It’s dead smooth and lasts longer though.
