Some more questions

Can you tell us more about reedvalves and the modifications needed on standart casing, is it true that I need to change the crankshaft, I heard that the idle cannot be set any more with some kind of crankshaft or a modified one? [:D]

ok thanks a lot

Hi Mike,

I’m about to reed the et3. You ideally need a full circle crankshaft and the inlet port opening out to suit the fact that you no longer need the seal required for the rotary valve to function. You could alternatively have the clutch side web of your existing crank machined to remove the sealing effect (but don’t scrimp on old cranks, buy a new one). Some sites on the net show pictures of the inlet port after machining, so referring to these may be a great help. Should not be any idle probs
