SIP 26/26 what is the difference

Hi

I am upgrading my exhaust from a worn Sito+ to the SIP T5 version for my 2005 PX 150 that has a stock bolt on only Pinasco 177 Au cylinder kit  upgrade. After researching, I have also decided to upgrade the carburetor from a SI 20/20 auto-lube to a SI24/24 auto-lube to compjlamate the Pinasco 177/ SIP T5 exhaust combo. Now I see there is a  SIP 26/26 auto-lube. What is the difference between the SIP 26/26 and the SI 26/26. Before I make the final purchase, is the 26/26 carburetor a better choice; Could someone tell me what is ball park for the main jets for either carburetor.

Best regards

I was told the 26/26 mm carb that is sold in the US from places like Scooterworks is really a 25mm. If you measure carefully the SI26/26G carb from SIP, however, you will find that it is really a 26mm, perhaps a hair's width smaller than 26, but close enough to call it a 26. You would not call it a 25. I measured this myself, and the measurement was confirmed to me by Al the Man from Fresno California. He called the SIP26 carb a "a true 26".

Same carburation issues tho'.

The 26mm ( actually 25mm if measured LOL) are notoriously difficult to jet , stick with a stock S124/24E and you'll be fine.

Listen to Hamer really difficult to set up and jet going through the same problems myself. I will eventually replace with a mikuni 28mm far better carb..
