HI THERE
IT ALL DEPENDS WHETHER YOU INTEND ON USING THE STANDARD CARB.ANY WAY WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO GET RID OF THE OIL PUMP???
I GOT RID OF MY OIL PUMP BECAUSE I FITTED A DIFFERANT MANIFOLD AND 30MM CARB.IF YOU WANT TO FIT A MALLOSSI ROTARY VALVE OR REED VALVE MANIFOLD YOU WILL LOSE THE OIL PUMP(JUST PULL OUT THE METERING DEVICE).THESE MANIFOLDS AUTOMICALLY SEAL THE CRANKCASES.

GOOD LUCK

Pull the rubber oil feed pipe off the metal oil pump pipe then push a match into the metal pipe then seal with some silicon this should seal the pipe and stop oil being drawn into carb hope this helps Gary ps or just seal with silicon not the match[:dance3:]

does it matter or have any effect just blocking off the auto feed and using mixed oil

Just block off oil feed pipe then mix oil with petrol in the tank should be ok

I’m using a Px engine in an older style frame (GL150) without an oil tank therefore no need for the oil pump, but leaving it in situ.
Also I want to premix at 3% for a DR 180 kit.
