Hi
i`ve just split the casings on my p.k. engine, but have come across a problem, one of the crank bearings has come apart leaving the inner part of the bearing and the rollers on the crank[should be easy enough to remove]But the outer ring of the bearing is still in the casing[and bloody tight] with no real way of leavering it out,i cant cut it because the bearing is hardened, does anyone have any ideas? Thanks[:smokin:]
cheers kooda
i`ll try that when my missus is at work!!![:D]
Chuck it in the oven, the alloy expands faster than the steel & loosens its grip in the bearing, then carefully knock the bearing race out.
