PX200E Clutch Cover

Fitted a Newfren re-inforced clutch along with Mazz crank.

Now clutch cover does not fit on.

Any suggestions?

witch clutch? 8-12-24 springs cluch are  bigger then other one. you need to remove materials all around the cover with dremel or lathe.

or you can buy this: http://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/products/clutch+cover+piaggio+by+ss+_93164000

(look at the picture!)

And is it possible to have a 21 teeth clutch bell? Original is 23 teeth.

Thanks for your help.

Shorter?

I ground back part of the inside of the cover, no such luck, still appears to be engaged in neutral.

But it was rubbing.

23/65 ratio 2.82

21/65 ratio 3.10

for example: with 23/65 at 6000 rpm in 4th gear you have 65Mph

with 21/65 at 6000 rpm in 4th gear you have 59Mph

which cylinder you have?  usually if you have a lot of torque is preferable to decrease the ratio ,conversely if you look at the rpm. but it's not so simple, you need to finde the correct balace to pull all gears.

Yes and yes.

Identical to the original except re-inforced.

8 Spring

Everything fits until I install the clutch pressure plate, or remove the spacer that sits behind.

Same problem when re-installing the original clutch.

Only difference I can see is the clutch bell. Slightly different lip where the brass ring sits (not the brass bush)

Not sure if I am able to insert a photo here.

idon't know,

i think the problem is in the clutch cover, the actuation lever and the push rod are ok?

did you tried to fit the cover without the lever and the push rod?

Cheers. Looked at ratios today.

Standard cylinder. Had some work done on it but he seems to have forgotten what he did.

Have T5 forth gear as well.

Installed everything today, no cigar. Not happening.

I fit the cover etc, with and without lever, and seems great.

So installed engine. Clutch is engaged in neutral.

Had some work done by a so called mechanic, so I will strip the engine down and start again.

i mean, t5 4th gear is shorter than the original , plus 21/65 is shorter then 23/65.

1st and 2nd gear will be too short for daily use. 3th will be ok, but top speed in 4th will be around 50-55(max)[quote user="Kickstart Scooters"]

21 teeth are ok, with original primary driven gear cog. you can only use 21/65 or 23/65 . but 21/65 is shorter then original 23/65

Yep, same problem now.

Back to square one.

just for fun [H]

have you changed the crankshaft with the clutch?

you are sure the crank has entered the bearing correctly?

Ah, gotcha.

Anyway, cover maybe wasn't the solution. Clutch is permanently engaged in neutral.
