Hey, running in my Prim with a polini 130 kit. I am sure the booklet said 500km for run in but I can’t find it to check. Seems a bit short to me, aren’t new bikes normally 1000 kms?
Any ideas anyone. Don’t want to start hammering it before its ready…

The jet size is the one thing I don’t know. Don’t think there is an easy way of finding out without taking the carb off either…

don’t be afraid with the running in period. You don’t need to babysh your engine. Just don’t abuse it. Abuse means don’t stay at very high rev for more then few seconds in the higher gears means in 3rd and 4th. After 500km is OK.
If you will have any problem these will be consequence of a poor set up ( carb set up and timing set up ) and not from wrong running in period.
ran mine for 300 miles keeping revs low and topping about 45mph, then slowly built up the speed after constantly chop testing the plug. When carb was sweet throughout the rev range, I wanged the engine good style and have done ever since.

Done 260 miles so far. Plan is to get it dynoed.
Taffspeed chose the jets based on what they thought would be right, and advised the fella that built it what the timing should be, so fingers crossed, touch wood etc I’m hoping it shouldn’t be too far out.
How is the Lammie going Mike? Off to Morecambe?
