On long pinned back throttle journeys I am getting bits of crap stuck in the spark plug which is stopping it sparking properly, making it lurch about and not run properly.
When I drove moped, back in 1959-1960 this happened to me, as well as my friends, every now and then. As it is not common today, I thought it was the quality of the petrol and oil that caused it. Are you engine running to rich?
Original von breezer:
I am going to have a look at the cylinder head.
Plug is a good colour so I don’t think it is rich, although I probably run it a bit flat [mark=red](not revving it high enough)[/mark]most of the time, don’t know if that’s causing it.
Use the same semi-synth oil as a mate in his p2 and he has no problems, might start putting the same fully synth in as I use in the smallframe though.
Cheers

Back when some cars were 2-stroke, I heard many times that to clean out the engine one should take it out on the freeway, and drive it with the trottle wide open.
