Oil on engine casings

Hi anyone else get gearbox oil (I think) on the bottom of their cases? Both my recently rebuilt primmy and my unmolested p2 engine suffer from it. I can’t seem to find where it’s coming from. Is it normal?

Cheers

Jim

on the primmy take a look at the selector arm underneath and look at the clutch arm also. These both have „o“ ring seals in em that usually get overlooked with an engine rebuild. Clutch arm is leaky on mine. but if ur leak is right underneath and low down at the rear of the casings then its the gear selecter arm.

I’d leave the p2 to happily leak ! LOL[:D]

YEAH MY CLUTCH ARM LEAKS AND EVEN AFTER 3000 MILES (AFTER LAST GEAR OIL CHANGE) , THE LOSS WAS MINIMAL.

Cheers Mike.

It only happens when the bike is running - it doesn’t sit there and drip. Is it anything to worry about?

Stops the exhaust rusting (on the p2) and I suppose is like a constant oil change (keep topping it up with clean)
