It’s not very clear what you want!

Sorry this means you don’t have to worry about the crank or ignition timing.

HI ALL:

I already seen scooterhelp.com and take teh flywheel off .
MY ignition plate has only one line on it.
So I adjust timing rotating is use timing disk by scooterhelp.
I will set timing to 18 degree.
I know two lines of ignition plate is old model.

Scooterhelp and SIP teach me a lot of knowledge.
So grateful!!!

hello vspvsp,

you alter the timing rotating the ignition plate that you find when you take the flywheel off.

In the cranckcase you will find a straignt mark, and in the ignition plate two lines marked one with IT and the other with A.
If you unscrew the stator plate screws you can rotate the plate. If you align the A line with the cranckcase mark you will have a 23 degree timing, if you align the IT line you will have 18.

I think is kind of difficult to explain this if you can’t picture on your mind the parts I am talking about.
Try to go to scooterhelp.com, I am sure you will find some picture of this.

The cranckshaft cut alter another kind of timing. It is the inlet port timing. I think you messed the two up.
The 18 - 22 timing generally refer to ignition timing or in other word the distance (in degree) before TDC where the spark will fire.

You should take your flywheel out and see the alignment of your ignition plate and then tell us what you have seen.

Ok the malossi instuctions are telling you how to get the best from your kit. You will still get a big power increase over standard if you just bolt it on and upjet the carb. If you have no mechanical knowledge this is best. Do not use the main jet that comes with the kit(116) use a 112(highest) or 108(lowest) and do not replace the mixer tube. Hope this helps if you do not understand post again and we shall try again

Yes, for sure, got the Malossi and it’s ok with 18°.
