Hydraulic disc on smallframe

I want to remove the master cylinder from the forks and place it inside the legshield. My intention is to run a longer hydraulic line up through the horncast moulding (et3) nd place master cylinder just below the steering lock. I’m just unsure on the amount of slack to leave on the hydro line to allow for steering or whether to feed the line through the mudguard.

Anyone done this one ? [:dance3:]

SORRY I COULDN’T ANSWER SOONER, BEEN BUSY AND NOT LOOKED AT SITE FOR A WHILE.

Cheers mate, the odd questions always take a while to be answered - the strings a good idea !

lets see how long my speedo query takes eh

HI ITS HARD TO SAY WITHOUT SEEING IT BUT AS A GUIDE WHEN I MAKE BRAKE HOSES I USE A PIECE OF STRING TO FIND THE DIRECT ROUTE THEN I ADD 3-4 INCHES FOR SLACK. YOU WANT TO MEASURE IT WITH THE SUSPENSION UNLOADED, A BIKE MAG FITTED HOSES TO A BIKE AND THEY HAD THEM MADE WITH THE BIKE ON ITS WHEELS SO THE FORKS WERE COMPRESSED AS THEY DO, FIRST TIME OUT THE GUY DID A WHEELIE AND THE FORKS UNLOADED TO THEIR NATURAL LENGTH AND PULLED BOTH HOSES OUT OF THE BANJOS ON THE CALIPERS. IT’S BETTER TO HAVE THEM A BIT TOO SLACK.
