Hi all a question if i may please i have a T5 Classic and have never had any real problems to shout about but over the last few days it has been very tempremental i will try to explain to the best of my abilities she starts first kick no problem but when she is going she seems to stutter at a certain power in each gear 1,2,3 and 4 like i said normally at the top of each particular gear i thought it may be a spark plug problem so i had it out and replaced with a new one no different then i thought maybe to clean air filter so i did this and replaced still no joy. Im new to all this scooter lark and would like if possible try to sort this out myself ( with the help of you all ) cause im a firm believer in trying to do things myself. The problem really comes to light when im trying to overtake something as i manage to get past just but stuttering all the way !!! if i go through the gears at the bottom of there range she is fine and the problem only then comes when in 4th at high speeds. I hope someone can give me some pointers on this matter and i thank all people in advance who post a reply.
Hopefully this will help this happened to me, after plenty of time investigating, I decided to take out the jets, the big jet was blocked by a small piece if dirt, cleared this, the T5 has run perfect ever since. Might not be this but if youv’e not tried this it can’t do any harm
try changing the spark plug. i know it sounds simple but my t5 gave the same problems and all it needed was a new plug and the gap setting.
give it a try.
cheers

Hi all i have done as suggested and also filled oil up she was very low dont know if that would cause it aswell but she is 95% better now only a slight „stutter“ in 3rd at high revs so will keep updated.
on one of your reply you said you find your oil level very low.
It should not get lower.
Check at the smoke you have out of your exhaust.
If it is darkish means the oil seal on the clutch side it is wear out and some oil gets inside the cylinder and it will cause the engine to run strange.
If you don’t have a kind of darkish smoke coming out from your exhaust should be carb.
Did you relly check all your carb out?
Main jet, mix tube, float…
You have to make it sure is not one thing before trying another. If not you are going to spend more time trying fixing it.
Let us know.
