I have a vespa rally180 that I am just getting it going after sitting for years. It has a new carb. It starts with no problem (first kick)but as I am riding it will stall. Sometimes it stalls after a minute of riding sometimes it takes longer. Once I roll to a stop it will start again but is abit harder to start (3 or 4 kicks). The gas is about 3 months old. I am not an expert at carberator adjustment so that could be part of my problem. Any ideas?
Thanks
Thanks for the responses. It does it like clockwork. Started her up andgot half way around the block and died. I pulled the spark plug when it stalled and it looked black with alittle oil/fuel.
I’ll try replacing the coil.
thanks
Hi,
Does it sounds electrical or petrol the problem.
Have you tried taking the plug out as soon as it stops.
Check the colour of the plug if its a good brown, if it is full of petrol. if full of petrol it might be electrical, that is if your carb settings are all ok.
Can you give more details.
Cheers,
Nicolas
