Ive just put a 2004 PX125 engine into my old 84 P125X, the engine has the starter motor in it, what would i need to do to make my bike electric start, i know i need to add the battery , but what else?, Ive got the 5 pin regulator on it , so what do i need to do, wiring wise?

Hope could help

To be honest I’m not sure as I’ve never tried that but I suspect there’s going to be a bit of jiggery pokery with the wiring required.

Seconded, electric start is for poofs LOL

No seriously mate, the best thing to do would be to buy a new loom off the shelf, as well as fit the switch that is natural for that particular model

Thanx for the replies boys even the questioning of my sexuality ones [:D] Always had old scoots so this leccy start engine has got me all of a flutter, i started it using a car emergency starter , positive to the starter motor and negative to the frame, fired up straight away…so im deffo gonna have a go at this.
cheers

Already feel cheeky saying,

A push button for starting? Also say you’d need wiring from the battery to push button/ignition key/starter motor.

I am not an expert but could not resist the button mention.
