Clutch cable

Hi,

I’m hoping someone can help me out with this small problem. I should know how to do this, but I don’t, so I’m a bit embarrassed.

The clutch cable on my Sprint is starting to get loose and slack, and a fair bit of free play is developing on the clutch lever.

Do I simply need to tighten this up, or replace the whole clutch cable? If I just need to tighten it up, how do I do this?

hello,

under the engine follow the clutch cable. It passes through a cable adjuster. The cable adjuster is a sort of metallic tube with a nut. First you have to free the nut, then turn out the cable adjuster until the clutch tension is good for you, then screw the nut so that the cable adjaster will keep its position.
