hi all,
just wondering if anyone could advise me on somthing? how well would a T5 mickek mk2 pipe go on a px166? my 166 has 30mil carb, reed, race crank, matched ports, T5 flywheel. The pipe has already had the down pipe chopped and rewelded for a PX200 so I would have to re-chop it and weld it. should I calculate the tuned length for a pipe for a 166 and try and get it all spot on, or should I just bodge it? or should I just forget it? only thing is i can’t see my self affording a new decent expansion within the next decade or so [:(] and mickeks are supposed to rock!
Hi there Ozzy. The mickeck is a good pipe, but revvy in its original form. If it works to your liking on a p2, use same length down pipe rewelded to suit 166, and go from there. As its likely to be your only option then suck it and see. As used, tuned length wise, it should pull well on the 166, giving a wider spread lower in the rev range. Let us know how you get on, and if you want different power delivery, ill try and advise on how to get it. Where r u in the world?
hi BEERACE,
I’m down in lovely devon, exeter to be precise. I’ve been offered the mickek for a reasonable sum, but then for near enough the same money I could probably get my hands on a decent condition sip performance?? what to do?? I know there’s a million people out there who’d probably tell me not to get the sip/jl, but beggers can’t be choosers what do you think? oh and the sip is also for a T5 so will require a little titilation to get it to fit,
Hi
My mates with T5s ran the piasco kit with the mickek.
They were flying machines and reliable ( long runs from cumbria to the south coast and flat out).
is it the down pipe for the t5 that you want because i can ask about , as i am from cumbria the home of mickek and I am sure someone will have one. one of my mates has a couple of mk1 mikecks but I dont know if he will sell them.
Can you confirm if you still want the down pipe

toddy, thanks for the offer but i was just asking as I was offered the pipe by a mate, I have subsequently sorted my self out with another pipe. [;)] see my new thread.
