Advise for carb/jet combo for installing the SIP T5 PX150 exhaust on an 2005 PX177

Hi, I am eagerly going to replace my worn out and now useless and very extra loud SITO plus exhaust, with the SIP T5 unit on my 2005 PX 177. I have bolted on only Pinasco 177 Au cylinder kit with a reconfigure stock SI 20/20 auto-lube, set at 115main jet with the atomizer change to BE3/160 jet. I am looking for sound advice for the optimum carburator/jet set up and keeping the auto-oil lube feature. I was really happy with wider-low to mid range results with the reconfigure SI 20/20, Sito+ and Pinasco 177Au set up, however you know how it is, I have an excuse to change to a better unit and I want a little more, especially a little more grunt at the top end. I had no problems or hiccups and everything worked flawlessly and reliably. I just stuck with the factory recommendations. Changing carb and other bolt on or another exhaust advice will be greatly appreciated. I want to hear it all and pick the best sound advise.

Thank you and Best regards

I think 122 to run in and probably settle on 120 after about 600 miles , run a colder plug B7 or 8 HS and remember to check the plug colour every 50 miles or so maximum.

I would personally ditch the autolube as if it proves insufficient you'll only know when your cylinder becomes an expensive ornament. Premix and you can be confident that as long as the bike is running it'll also be getting lubed. If you must keep the autolube then keep your oil tank topped up to the max and check it every time you ride to make sure its using oil.

Adding oil to your tank whilst still running autolube is a little extra insurance BUT remember that this will also weaken the mix as part of the fuel in the mix is replaced by the oil.

On Polini or Malossi kits for small block Vespa I have almost always simply bolted on a standard spec P200 carb with no issues to date.

I have gone look back at my research and posting, I have forgotten how much info I have gathered. Ok I will upgrade my carb to a SI24/24 autolube; now where should I start with the main jets?

Hi dude

If you use the 24 carb. (much better choice) you should start from 125 - 118.

For the running in i recommend to choose the higher jet.

Please notice that if you tune your engine and you got higher rpm´s your oilpump might not be aible to work well for extra long "full throttle" periods.

So please put allways a bit of oil in the gas tank.

cheers
