172 , cosa clutch , Uphill cure!

After many posts to this site about having poor top end performance with a 172 and cosa clutch setup, i think i have found the cure . I was running it with a Mickeck Mk3 pipe ( which always was a good pipe ) but tends to have a late powerband as does the sip and pm . I toyed with the idea of replacing the clutch for a standard one but then decided to simply buy a simonini ( gasp shock horror ).
It really has made a complete difference , it will do 70 - 75 on the flat or uphill. The only problem that i do have is that it feels like it wants to go even more but is holding back a bit . I am running a 122 main jet - has anyone tried higher or lower jets with much improvments ?

Ive found the reason why it’s holding back - the clutch side oil seal has gone so engine out and strip down ( bollox !!!)

No mate, I run a 122 with a Sito plus and it pulls like a train, the expansion pipe on my P2(standard,122jet) pulls like hell through the gears but gives up in top on banks and into headwinds.
:shoot1:[:dance3:]

This seems to be a common problem on sip pipes especialy looking thru the posts,i’ve just put a sito plus back on my standard t5 replacing a sip and it’s like a different scoot,no more changing down when any kind of incline comes along and thus a lot more pleasant to ride.Maybe I need to kit up and get a rolling road tune but I have to say I’m a bit disappointed what with the cost of the thing! The powers in there somewhere top end but I can’t find it[:dance1:] [:dance1:] [:dance1:] !!!
