12V conversion

for the electric specialists,

I have a 50 special that has some electric problems. I am rebuilding it and I thought about changing the stator with a new one and the coil too.
Now the thing is: since I am going to put a new stator and coil I could go for the 12V conversion. Yes, but I don’t have any idea what things I have to change, if I have to change the flywheel has well, and if I have to change the flywheel maybe I have to change the crankshaft with a PK one. And then the cabling can rest the same or I have to buy a new one?
Is it at the end worthed or you suggest me to keep my original 6V?
